Munich

Enroll in EF’s German courses in Munich and experience the history, culture and student life of this world-class Bavarian city.
Experience the bustling student life of Germany’s 3rd largest city when you study German in Munich with EF. The school is situated in the Schwabing district, where the city’s medieval architecture meets with a vibrant young scene. Here, students enrolled in German classes will find themselves only a few blocks from the Englischer Garten - a massive green space where locals go to play soccer and have picnic lunches.
As a student with EF Munich you’ll experience small language courses, personalized to fit your needs and proficiency level. We encourage interaction with the locals and we offer special interest classes with a local flavor so you’ll be fully immersed in the German culture. Our newly renovated school features a student lounge, garden and an activities office equipped to introduce you to the best that Munich has to offer.  EAQUALS certification of this EF school reflects the excellent of academic offerings and level of personal attention that students will receive when they study German in Munich.

Germany’s University City
Munich’s festive atmosphere is evidenced during the annual Oktoberfest celebration; but this international city is known for its provincial spirit of goodhearted coziness, or Gemütlichkeit, year round. Munich draws people from all walks of life. In addition to some 100,000 students, countless business people, art aficionados and ski-lovers call this city home. This diverse population blends to create a city where people are as comfortable taking in a symphony orchestra as they are relaxing with friends at a local Biergärten.
With the snow-capped Alps as its backdrop, Munich is as picture-perfect as cities come. Medieval architecture dating to its history as the Bavarian imperial capital blends with neo-gothic architecture of the 19th century and ultra-modern structures such the Allianz Arena, built for the 2006 World Cup.  Head to the Alps for breathtaking skiing and hiking or hop on a train for the neighboring cities of Prague or Vienna, when the weekend comes. Bavarian traditions remain intact in Munich, despite it being a cosmopolitan city with funky boutiques and bookshops at every turn.
